As the Golden State Warriors face a pivotal offseason full of tough decisions and roster reshaping, Bleacher Report has identified Moses Moody as the player most likely to be traded by the team in the coming months.

In their recent analysis of each NBA team’s top trade candidate, Bleacher Report highlighted Moody’s age, potential, and growing value around the league as key reasons why the former lottery pick could be on the move. While Moody has shown flashes of promise, his inconsistent role and limited minutes under Steve Kerr have made him a prime trade chip for a Warriors team that’s looking to retool around Stephen Curry and make another run at a title.

“Moody is young, talented, and affordable — exactly the type of player rebuilding or mid-tier teams would be interested in,” the report stated. “If Golden State is serious about landing another star or reshaping their supporting cast, he’s one of the first names teams will ask for.”

Drafted 14th overall in 2021, the 21-year-old guard has been praised for his maturity, defensive instincts, and three-point shooting. But despite his potential, Moody has struggled to carve out a consistent spot in a veteran-heavy rotation. With Klay Thompson’s future still uncertain and the front office reportedly exploring major moves — including possible trade talks for stars like Domantas Sabonis or a younger core around Amen Thompson — Moody could be included in a larger deal.

Warriors fans have shown strong support for Moody, with many still believing in his long-term upside. But in the NBA, potential often takes a backseat to fit and timing — especially for a franchise still clinging to its championship window.

Golden State General Manager Mike Dunleavy Jr. is expected to be aggressive this offseason, and if the team is serious about making win-now moves, parting ways with one of their recent draft investments may be inevitable.

Nothing is confirmed yet, but trade season is heating up — and Moses Moody’s name is now front and center.
