Green’s proud message came just days before the movie’s release on Amazon Prime, scheduled for May 27. Renee, a singer and actress, originally shared the trailer on her Instagram.
“YAYYYY ITS COMING🚨 Super Excited For You All To See My Newest Project The Final Play! Rolling Out To Amazon Prime May 27th!!” she wrote in her caption.
The film tells the story of a retired basketball player, Breylon McNeil, and features Renee as the leading love interest. It blends heart and humor and it’s already getting attention online. Even Ayesha Curry, wife of Steph Curry, dropped a cheerful “Yesssssssssssss” in the comments.
Renee’s role in “The Final Play” marks a major step in her acting journey. She has previously appeared in shows like “Empire” and “Power Book IV: Force,” and this is one of her biggest projects yet. She’s no stranger to the screen, but now, she’s stepping into a starring role.
Meanwhile, Green is also getting recognition this week. He was named to the NBA All-Defensive First Team for the fifth time. Beyond the court, Green has also been a standout on TV. He’s part of the “Inside the NBA” crew and hosts “The Draymond Green Show” podcast.
